United States Postal Service – Rural Mail Carriers

Pay Rate: $18.56 – $21.22

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cases, delivers, and collects mail along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle; provides customers on the route with a variety of services. Ideal candidates will require a general familiarity with postal laws, regulations, and procedures commonly used. EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS

All applicants for these positions have an exam requirement. Currently, applicants for this posting who do not yet have an exam score are being invited to take the exam. Examining will continue until capacity has been reached. Mail Carriers must have a clear driving history for the past two years.

  • Recent employment history
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment

  • Safe driving record (if applicable to the position)
  • Must be registered with Selective Service if applicable

Driving Requirements

Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger.  The driving must have taken place in the U.S. or its possessions
or territories or in U.S. military installations worldwide.
